Ordering & Payment

Do I need an account to place an order?

No — you can check out as a guest without creating an account. Creating an account simply lets you track orders and manage your purchases more easily.

Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. All payments are processed through trusted, PCI-compliant payment gateways. Your card and banking details are encrypted and never stored on our servers.

Having trouble placing an order?

If you are experiencing any difficulty at checkout, email us at info@hitway.uk with a screenshot of the issue and we will get it sorted quickly.

Are my details safe on your website?

Yes. We prioritise your privacy and use strict security measures to protect your personal information at all times. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Delivery

What is your typical dispatch time?

We typically dispatch orders within 48 hours of receiving them. Orders placed at weekends or on UK public holidays are processed on the next business day.

How long does delivery take after dispatch?

Standard delivery takes 3–5 business days. Larger items such as e-bikes may take a little longer depending on your location. All orders are sent with tracked delivery.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free on every order — there is no minimum order value and no hidden fees at checkout. Because we ship from within the UK, there are no customs or import charges either.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver within the United Kingdom only, including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, dispatched from our UK warehouse. We are unable to deliver to PO boxes, parcel lockers or collection points.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an email confirmation once your order is dispatched, with tracking details sent within 24–48 hours. Full information is in our Shipping Policy.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please review our Return & Refund Policy for full details, including how batteries and large items are collected.

Can I exchange or return an item?

Yes. We accept exchanges and returns under the following conditions:

  • The item was purchased from our online store.
  • The item is unused and in its original packaging with all tags attached.
  • The return or exchange request is made within 14 days of delivery.

To request an exchange, please contact us and a member of our support team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Who pays for return shipping?

If you cancel under the 14-day right, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. Our products contain lithium-ion batteries and must be carried as dangerous goods, so return transport typically costs £60–£150 for an e-bike or scooter. Contact us first and we will get a collection quote from our approved carrier. Where goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, we pay the cost of return and arrange the collection.

How long does a refund take?

We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of the day you provide evidence that you have sent them — whichever is earlier. We refund to the same payment method you used and charge no restocking fee.

Warranty & Care

What warranty do HITWAY products carry?

Each HITWAY electric bike is covered by a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, including the battery and the motor. Wear-and-tear items such as tyres, brake pads and chains are excluded. Full terms are in our Warranty Policy.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email info@hitway.uk with your order number and, where possible, photos or a short video of the issue. Our team will diagnose the problem, identify any simple fix, and arrange replacement parts where needed — plus guidance on fitting them.

Are the e-bikes legal to ride in the UK?

Yes. Our e-bikes use 250W pedal-assist motors that cut out at 25 km/h, meeting the UK definition of an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC). You can ride them on the road and on bridleways with no licence, tax or insurance required. Off-road and dirt-bike models are for private land only and must not be used on public roads.

Do you supply spare parts and accessories?

Yes — we stock batteries, chargers, brake pads, tyres, controllers and everyday accessories so you can keep your ride in top condition. Browse the Parts & Accessories collection.

Are batteries and large items delivered differently?

Our e-bikes, scooters and batteries contain lithium-ion cells transported under UN3480 / UN3481 dangerous goods rules. Deliveries are made by specialist carriage and may require a signature, and we may contact you to arrange a suitable delivery window.
